fullsizeoutput_65aFirstly, thanks to everyone who joined in the fun at our first ever Christmas Party!  It was great fun, because so many came along and participated.

In case you weren’t able to come along to the party, we announced a LMQG challenge for 2017 called “Make Liberty Modern.”  Each person who was a fully paid member at the time of our December meeting will receive a Liberty scrap pack for completing the challenge.  We’ll have more programmes about the challenge in the coming months, and I’ll publish the details of the challenge rules here before Christmas, so keep an eye out for that post.

Any new members in 2017 will also receive a Liberty scrap pack, so that you can participate in the challenge.

Secondly, don’t forget that it’s time to renew our membership to the London MQG.  Shevvy sent out the renewal email this week, so if you didn’t receive it, please contact me via email or IG, and I will make sure you get the information.

Finally, I’m just confirming next year’s meeting dates with the Star Tavern, and as soon as I have them firmed up, I’ll post the list here.  There are a few that will need to be moved to avoid conflicts with holidays, including our first meeting of the new year.

In the meantime, I hope you’re all having a lovely holiday season!  Happy Stitching!

First Ever LMQG Christmas Party

lmqg-christmas-party1

The programme for our regular meeting on 4th December 2016 will be our Christmas Party.  We will be meeting at the Star Tavern at noon as usual and will probably finish at bit later at around 3:00or 3:30 p.m.

Our guest speaker will be the lovely Jenny Haynes from Papper, Sax, Sten, who’ll be showing us some of her gorgeous quilts.  (NOTE:  There will be no member show-and-tell.)

Jenny will be joining us for our delicious Christmas lunch, catered by the Star Tavern, and a small item swap.  There will also be a few other little treats for all attendees.

If you haven’t yet booked, please contact Donna on dmthornal@mac.com or 07538 715 785 right away for all the details.
